There are 6 Admonitions against Homosexuality in the Bible
There are 362 Admonitions against Heterosexuality
This leaves a deficit of 356 Admonitions against Heterosexuality.
In a nutshell this means that God is more worried about His Straight Children than He is about His Gay Children.
Jesus, who IS the Savior, said NOTHING about Homosexuality and a lot about loving one's neighbor, helping out the poor, the sick and the down trodden and such. On the other hand Paul, who is NOT the savior, is who everyone quotes when asked about the same subject. I'm following Jesus and NOT Paul.
Blessed are the Merciful.

If there were only one bible, and one religion, and one belief then there probably would be not problems. But, there are so many religions, and bibles and beliefs. Everyone of us interprets and molds the writings of Christ to fit what we want to believe. I have yet to read one word in the bible where god says he HATES homosexuals. We were not put on this earth to judge other people, but it happens. If god is not happy with the glbt lifestyle, then when we get to the pearly gates he will be the one that casts the judgment. The stigma you mentioned surrounding the glbt lifestyle will be there until people truly start believing in the word as it is written and stop interpreting what we think god is saying. Until that happens, we are just people trying to survive in a world of many diversities and not much support for the cause. You can have many conversations with many different people and they will all have a different outlook on it. Set and listen some time to your family.

I think that no christian alive today can answer that question because the bible has been translated so many times that the only way you would really know what it said is by getting a copy of the original bible and translating it yourself. Do you trust a church that has been responsible for numerous persecutions throughout the ages to dictate to you what to believe? Even now, they knowingly allow some priests to come into contact with children when pedophile acts have been committed.

I'm afraid the Bible never condemns homosexual idenity. Leviticus 20 tells us that it is abomination for the man that lies with a woman to also lie with a man (that's bisexism), and Leviticus 18 is similar; and Romans 1 also condemns men who leave women for men (again bisexism). Sorry, nothing here about gays. Nothing about gays in the Sodom story either (attempted gang rape of angels hardly condemns homosexual identity any more than men gang raping a woman condemns heterosexual identity). Paul says in Romans 4 & 5 that "There is no iniquity where there is no law". Can't be condemned for breaking a law that doesn't exist - and there is no law against being homosexual, or against same gender romance, marriage and sex in that marriage.
Therefore, while you ask a sincere question, the question is coming from the wrong angle. It was NEVER against God's law in the first place to BE a homosexual. Anyone who says otherwise is putting words into God's mouth which He did not say.
But thanks for being on our side.

I think that it's a reaction. Homosexuality is a lot more open now, and with the move to try and have gay marriage legalized, the reaction has become much stronger, almost frantic, if one watches the programs on television the televangelists run, and for some, like Fred Phelps, the issue has become an obsession.

Christiansa and their complaining. And if you say you are straight and actually are they will nag about how you should not lust for a woman and not have sex untill marriage and not have any attraction what so ever.
So either they wish for everyone to be A-sexual or they want to make people live miserble lives and then burn in hell anyway!

Jesus in no way addressed the area of homosexuality in the Gospels, yet different factors of the Bible (the two previous and New Testaments) do. because Jesus is God and the Bible, all of it, is God's be conscious, we'd anticipate that regardless of any element of what the Bible teaches would be His opinion. additionally, i do no longer think of that each physique gays are going to hell. particular, homosexuality is a sin, yet like the different sins, it incredibly is prevented and it incredibly is forgiven. in basic terms because of the fact somebody has a bent to be gay, does no longer mean that they actually would desire to date, sleep with, or marry human beings of the comparable gender. they'd in basic terms be single, or if bisexual, concentration on in basic terms the heterosexual area of their charm to human beings. and finally, all human beings, no longer in basic terms gays, are sinful and should bypass to hell, yet by Jesus, everyone can locate redemption and freedom from sin. for this reason His sacrifice on the go is so considerable. because of the fact of it, we can bypass to heaven.

It's really interesting how some Christians focus on Romans 1: 26- 27. If you would read Romans 1: 18- 25, you would see that the scripture refers to idol worship. It was about idol worship and temple prostitution. We are to worship God, not make a graven image and use our bodies sexually to worship God!

If you're a good person, you love your family, you support your friends then what a person does in the comfort, safety and privacy in their bedrooms with their adult lover has no effect on their ability to be a faithful Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist.
