No I dont think he is. But then I feel there are players in the Hall that dont belong there.

No, he is not even remotely close to being a Hall of Famer.

-Never won a MVP and only finished in the top 10 in voting once. Which means he was never really considered an elite player over an extended period of time during his career.

-The only stats he is in the top 100 in for his career are runs, total bases, and doubles.

-His batting title in '98 was the only time he led the league in any offensive category.

Bernie was a good player but not an elite player which is what needs to be to get into the Hall.

FYI, he is only a .297 career hitter not .307.

Absolutely! Bernie Williams has four world series rings and leads his franchise (new york yankees) in post-season homers, RBI's, and runs scored. Aside from that, he has won numerous gold gloves, a batting title, and has played in many all-star games. In his prime, he was a major offensive threat and could hold his own in the field. He has better numbers than some of the guys already in the hall. Bernie pulled off many big hits for the yankees throughout his career, which is sparkling with talent. So yes, Bernie Williams is most definitely a hall of famer.

Bern baby bern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. He won't be elected, but he should be. One of the raps against Ron Santo is that he was never in a World Series (poppycock! He should be anyway!) and Bernie was in 6, and in 10 post seasons. He is # 1 in hits in the LCS. One thing that could be said about a player like Bernie is that he was one of the main reasons that the Yankees were so good while he played. All those post-seasons put him in the spotlight even more. He was a great personality and played with just the one team. The writers, however, will point out that he didn't flirt with them enough, so, alas. He won't make it.

No. Every good player doesn't make HOF material. He's one of the top 50 Yankees of all time, but way down the list of the best ever players. A solid cog in the Yankee success of the 1990's, steady and dependable, like Paul O'Neill. Probably only Jeter, Clemens, and Rivera are shoo-ins.

I love Bernie Williams but the answer is definitely no. He was a great hitter not much power and he maybe didn't play his hardest all the time. If not for the injuries the answer would probably be yes.

great participant yet is rather not in the HOF and the only reason we've this communicate is by using the fact he performed for teh Yanks. If he positioned up those suitable comparable numbers in KC, he does not make it previous the 2nd poll. i admire Bernie, yet he will by no skill get in.

Bernie Williams is one of my favorite players of all time, but no. He does not have the stats usually necessary for HoF induction.

very good player but not hall of Famer
Look at outfields such as Willie Mays, Hank Aaron and Roberto Clemente and then come back to me

I think he will be a late ballot inductee (like his 10th+ year on the ballot). He was a rather good player, but he is still only borderline HOF, and it will take a little while for him to get in.
