DVI gives a better picture than the Sub-D VGA connection, If the LCD screen has both connections use DVI. I realised that when I connected my BENQ LCD monitor which has both connections when I got a separate cable for it.

A VGA as you understand is the common twine to hook any laptop as much because it rather is video reveal. A digital Video enter twine, is needless to say digital video. i don't understand how a lot of a distinction it would make, yet there might probable be one. If it have been me, purely with the flexibility to work out it may well be good adequate. yet i assume in case you watch movies or something like that with you laptop you need to to %. up a dvi and verify it out. you ought to have purely asked for a DVI cable once you have been there and that they could not locate it.

no there is only 1 dvi connection. sumtimes there are called dvi-d. dvi is much better than vga. dell sells pretty good monitors, i normally do not like dell, but there monitors are pretty good. do not buy a lcd tv and use it as a monitor. they are meant to be viewed from far away. u will get eye strain. lcd tvs have much lower resolution then computer monitors. this is a pretty good monitor.
