Absolutely - and I have. And I am HIVneg.
The difficult part isn't about worrying about contracting HIV from them. That's very easy to deal with, using common sense. It is knowing that you may lose him/her - that's the hard part.
So don't hold back love from someone just because of HIV. I was glad to have given my love to my former partner, and he went to his rest knowing that he was loved. And I will go on, with him in my heart, and if the next person I fall in love with also happens to be HIVpoz, I wouldn't hesitate for a second.
If love = sex to you, you're not worthy of either. But if you want to have sex with the person you love as your wedding gift, nothing else matters.

I would be happy to have a HIV + man as a friend, Dearest. Him and I would lunch, go on road trips and have a very good time. No, nothing is guarenteed but death and taxes (and they've found a way to tax death drat them.....) but why should a disease stop someone from having a friend? My Partner and I can always use another friend.

nothing in life is guaranteed. I have known couples where one is HIV+ and the other is not, and the one that is HIV- died of a heart attack leaving his partner alive and grieving. Everything is a risk, but love should prevail.

I wonder where Joe C got his information, it looks like he got it from a web site but he didn’t site his source.
I wouldn’t date an HIV+ person. I would hang out with them I would have dinner go to a movie, but I wouldn’t get into a sexual situation.

Depending on the individual, yes, I would. I would want to be extra careful, of course-(--as I did for years). Nobody wants to get the virus, least of all me. All that said ,though, life offers no guarantees...we just do the best we can..and try to get through it all at least on a happy level.

Short answer: Yes.
I would definitely date someone who was HIV positive. Yes it is risky but with precautions it can be very safe. Not all sexual acts involve penetration. Mutual masturbation and rubbing is 100% safe agiainst the transmition of STDs.

Well sure. If I truly love the person then I think it would be worth taking extra care.

I don't think so. Not unless I was already married to them, but then I was wonder how they contracted it.
