I have a new operating system OS X 10.4. The mac already has OS X 10.4 installed on it. I just want to install my the copy I own and can register. Question is do I have to uninstall the operating system that is on there already. If so how?

Insert your copy of the Operating System and choose erase Install.
Then be sure you use Software Update after the Install.
You should be good to go.Don

No you don't need to uninstall the OS. Just use the Erase and Install option from your Install Disks.
