Many a night while camping on the beach in Ventura County, California...away from the bright lights of the city, the stars were absolutely "brilliant".
One unforgettable night during The Geminid Meteor Shower...incredible!
It's where, one morning around 2 a.m. I saw this UFO....yes, the real thing, it had absolutely NO lights (why would a ship from another world have landing lights anyway?) but could be seen by the light of the (almost full) moon as it hovered and moved in from the ocean to close to where we were...(but that's another story, for another time).

now that I live in a place where the night sky seem big, closer to the sky definately, yes I do that from time to time...some times I sit outside the back patio deck and watch the night sky, stars and thinking about getting one of those telescope myself. it sure is relaxing.

Yes, I love doing that. It is the most beautiful thing to see, and the sense of wonder that accompanies it is amazing, pure and simple.Even when I am inside, I will stare at the ceiling, imagining the night sky.

I try doing it whenever the stars are out. When you lay down, you think of everything and everyone. Your life passes you by and everything around you looks amazing. You should always have time to relax and watch the stars as it calms one soul.

I have....In the middle of nowhere so there were no lights to interfere with the stars....the sky just lights up with all the stars there are.....one of theses days I will make it to the middle of nowhere when their is a meteor shower i think that would be awesome....

ahhh yes I have...it is the pretiest thing out there...when I went on vacation a few years ago it was in the country side & wow I got to see that every night.... i miss those nights
here in NY...you only see those darned streetlights & airplanes !
