No. Pleasing people can become a disease. Unfortunately, it is often a larger problem for women in our culture as women are taught that this is a role that they must take. As a result they are often left unhappy and unfulfilled.
You are not responsible for my happiness, I am.
I am not responsible for your happiness, You are.
When we both take responsibility for our happiness, we can both be happy.

Happiness is a byproduct of living well. There is only one who can give that to anyone and I am but an extension to/of what has been given to me to live.

I can't help enjoying
the excited reactions of family and friends
when I do something that makes them happy.
I wish I could do it more often.
