Ditto the above advice on the hair grass. It's a very undemanding plant. I would have no problem with 2 dwarf gourami and 6-8 ghost shrimp in a 5 gallon tank assuming it's filtered and heated of course. It would be by far best to have a male and female of the gourami and not two males as to prevent fighting.

I have 2 dwarf gouramis in a 10 gallon, but I don't think they would be suitable for a 5 gallon. A betta would suffice though.

I don't think the dwarf gouramis should be in anything smaller than a 10. They still need some room to swim around.

hair grass is basically easy, doesnt realy needco2.

The best thing to due is remove it from the pot and seperate it, so you can create a grassy base.

i would only get 1 dwarf gourami, and about 6 ghost shrimps.

Personaly I think a 5 gallon tank is too small for any fish! Think about it
