I am 22 years old and right out of college, and next week I will be getting married to my high school boyfriend next week. We've been together since we were about 15, and has been our goal to get married since we were 16. We also agreed that we would not have sex until we were married, not because of Religious belief, but just because we wanted it to be special.
SO, I am extremely excited to finally be married to him, and though he has already seen most of my body, I'm more worried about the actual intercourse, and how much it will hurt. I mean, the wedding night is supposed to be special! I just don't want to associate sex with pain, because I want it to be beautiful. How much does it hurt? What is the type of pain similar to?
Thanks!

For those of you suspecting that I'm younger because I am asking on the internet- no. I choose friends that share the same morals as I do, and since I'm pretty young, the majority of my friends are virgins as well.
What I mean by seen my body is: He's seen my body. That's all. Seeing doesn't necessarily mean anything but seeing.
Thanks to the rest of you who are giving me the advice I'm looking for. :)

It hurts a little bit at first, but it goes away quickly. If you're concerned you can get some KY jelly that will help out. Since you'll likely be nervous (being the first time and concerned about pain), you might not have as much lubrication as you will in the future.
How wonderful that you're waiting so it will be special. good for you!

Relax that is the key and it might not hurt at all for many women it does not cause any real pain to loose one's virginity. Stop thinking about that whatever you might feel it is going to be so very worth it to finally make love to the one that you love. You are gonna be just fine and if at first you do not suceed try try again you do get better with practice so practice, practice, practice. If you feel any real discomfort it is over fast and it doesn't hurt much mo more than say breaking a blister, bad comparison but I can't think of anything and since I have already had children a busted hymen is absolutly nothing. Just relax that is the key and you will be just fine.

Each girl is different. Some experience more pain than others, some bleed more than others. I for one experienced a lot of pain. Anyway, I know that some girls go to the doctor's office so they could break the hymen or something. It might be something you might want to look into if you want sex to be painless. Otherwise, like I said, the pain ranges. Remember to use a lot of lube to ease the process. Good luck and congrats on your wedding!

It should not be that bad. Just use a drop of lube to help with the dryness, and he should go slowly of course and just think about how much you love this guy and how long you two have waited. Spend the night having a good dinner and dancing maybe a few glasses of wine will help to loosen the two of you up.

You may consider the book "ALL THE WAY -SEX FOR THE FIRST TIME” by Kim Martyn is an informative book that is directed more teens about their first sexual intercourse, but I believe it will be helpful to you.
I have no association with this book or anyone that sales it.
The following links you may find useful.
I wish you the best.

Okay, the level of pain is equal to when you bite your lip really bad. Yes it hurts but it gos away really quick. If your new husband takes his tiem and is easy with you, then all will be well

You aren't going to feel any pain. Just make sure that when you do have sex that you feel ready. Make sure you spend lots of time on foreplay and what not. Enjoy yourself and your husband.

You're 22 and asking strangers on the internet what sex feels like? Not likey. I think you are more like 13 years old and lying so someone will tell you. Grow up and go ask your mommy to explain it to you!
