Wheelchairs in Anime?

Question

I'm a convention goer, and unfortunately, I'm going to be stuck in a wheelchair starting next year, so I'd like to find out what costumes I could do of anime characters in wheelchairs. If anyone can think of female characters who were, even just in a scene or two, in a wheelchair, please let me know. If you could source some pictures, that'd be great, but if not, I'll worry about that. Thanks, everyone!

By the way, I'm a stickler for accuracy, so I don't really like the idea of going as a guy - though I have plans for a group cosplay with me as Rufus and a group of friends as Turks, but that's for next year. Also, I'm 5'7, and very much not a little girl, so going as one would be a last resort.

There's a significant number of anime shows where a character is in a wheelchair.
Off the top of my head, there's a number of characters from Gunslinger Girl who are in wheelchairs at some point in time, as well as Neon Genesis Evangelion, X/1999... I'm pretty sure there are more. Many more. Elfen Lied would probably be another show to look into (or the mangas of these shows, as they tend to have longer running content then their anime counterparts.)
The best way to look into these is to just go and read some random mangas from a bookstore. Chances are they're going to have what your looking for. Quiet honestly, it's not that uncommon for girls to go as a male character either, so limiting yourself to female characters is only a handicap (no pun intended). The first character that pops to my head is definitely Rufus Shinra from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, as he is in a mechanized wheelchair throughout a great duration of the film.
