I am a 17 yr old asian teen who goes to the gym to tone / build muscle. For the last 2 weeks, i have seen a girl who is soooo pretty that i want to chat with her. Not for dating, but for just being friends & general chat. The problem is that she is way out of my league & i dont have confidence / don't know how to speak to her...
Can someone who's been in this simular position please give me much needed detailed advice. Guys- (what would you do if this occured to you ?) Ladies - (Would you ever mind a guy wanting to chat to you in a gym ? If so, what would you like them to say ? Would you mind if they weren't hot?)

You're pretty sure she's not going to be interested in you, so the fear of rejection is gone. Just take it slow so she doesn't think you're coming on to her. Start with a smile and a hello as you pass by. If she doesn't reply, or outright looks away, just shrug and forget about it. If she smiles back and replies, ask her how her workout is going next time you have a reason to talk to her. Hopefully you can build up to a full conversation.
If she gets mad, or tells you to get lost, just apologize for bothering her. If you think you screwed up the conversation and made her made, get her a cute "I'm sorry" card and ask the staff to give it to her on the way out or something. Sign it with your real name, and if she doesn't know your name, include some kind of a description so she know who it's from. Then from that point just smile and nod politely to her. It's up to her from there if she talks to you.

There is no such thing as out of your league, and if you keep thinking there is then you'll never be confident. If you think you aren't hott, you won't be hott. Some guys aren't from "orlando bloom world" but personalities can be hott too. You seem really sweet. Make her feel special. "Hey, my name is (blah). I was wondering if you wanted to grab lunch sometime." Let her pick the place, bc if she's in the gym she might be dieting or something. Calm down and be yourself! Good luck!

I used to have no confidence too, most girls will be friends with you if you talk to them and that is the solution

I definately would not do that whole introduction "I'm trying to date you" type words.
"My name is ____" and stuff like that
That would weird me out.
Otherwise, I'd be totally flattered that a boy was talking to me. Regardless how he looked, it'd be cool.

say hi, introduce your self, get a hobby an meet new ppl (girl) and be selective, care for them and be there for them. dont say sruff like i jagoff cuz dat wud run dem away!
