u cannot. but u can get the iphone, sync it with itunes, and wen it asks 4 ur ss number, put in all 9's and it will say u have bad credit and u can get a pay as u go plan w/o a contract.

AT&T/Cingular has the GoPhone as thier prepaid phone. I have bought one of these phones at Walmart and used it with my regualr cellular service with AT&T/Cingular with no problem. It was much cheaper than buying a phone thru AT&T/Cingular. Walmart employees may try to tell you the phones will not work on the regular plans only the prepaid but thats not true, they do, just pop your sim card in it and you have the same number,all your info etc.

Its set to where you need to activate the phone to use all the features. Unless you search online and find a crack for it. There have been people who have gotten around this and used the I-phone for juse Ipod and wifi. Like a PDA.

why? it is setup that not even the ipod will work without an att subscription.
