IT MAY BE WORTH ALOT. in 1972 there was a big strike in the plant that made firebirds and camaros. i know because my dad used to own a 1972 trans am with a 455 and i have found out it was only 1 of about 800 ever made and there was only about 400 manuals made. if he still had it, restored i have seen them go for over 50,000 but that is a trans am. i am not sure about a camaro but i think it is worth researching. but i do know even if they are not that rare i would think restored it would easily worth about $25,000

almost any old car with a metal body is worth restoring. the only problem is, is the fact that it can be very costly. you can never go wrong with restoring a camaro. thats like asking if you should rebuild a mustang { with the exception of the ugly 80's version -- let them rust }

Depends on if you have the money to do it or have it done correctly. The problem is once a restoration project is started it becomes a never ending problem due to the fact that its an old vehicle and its going to constantly have problems, especially if its not driven every day.

PLEASE!!!!!! You really should restore it. If you are tight on the money you can do like I had to with my 81 z28 4spd camaro. First I cleaned out my storage shed, made sure it was water proof, the started to by parts piece by piece. After I had everything I needed, I put it all together. I wish you the best of luck.

You bought it knowing it needed work.. if you have the money please do it! These cars are beautiful plus once you get done with the car you can either keep it or sell it getting more money than you put into it. I would totally do it if you have the money, if not.. sell it. Don't let the car rot in a unwanted grave when someone out there is looking to bring her to brighter days :)

I say yes, those F-bdys Camaros are nice, especially the early 70's ones.
