Question

Can someone tell me where to go to get the first item to get porygon to evolve. I've already got the Bubious Disc, but I don't know where to get the first item. If someone would help that would help out a lot.

ok to evolve porygon into porygon2 you need the upgrade equipe to evolve porygon2 into porygonz you need the dubious disc not sure which one you need but you basically need to equip it with the item then trade it..and it should evolve did you get the upgrade? you need that first of all..

to find upgrade: Eterna City (Prof. Oak hands this to you after you visit the Pal Park)

When you go to pal-park for the first time you will see prof. Oak there, then he will mention going back to Eterna city. Go to Eterna city and then right above the route to go to the cycling road in Eterna city you will see a house that was empty before, you will see Prof. Oak there, talk to him and then you'll get the item.

After you unlock Pal Park, Prof. Oak will talk to you then he will go to his house in Eterna city, he will give you the Up-Grade when you visit him. (His house is at the bottom of Eterna near the gate)

if you have fire red or leaf green then you get it in the story line so just play the game and ull get it if not go back to proffessor oak in eterna (last house on the bottom left) and hell give it to you hope this helps

After you meet professor oak in Pal Park, he mentions something about visiting a city. Go to that city and he will give it to you.
