FIesta Texas a part of the Six Flags theme parks system is well worth the time, though try to avoid Saturday due to the larger crowds and longer waits. Sea World is also great, though if you can only make one, I think, Fiesta Texas is more fun. The Alamo is often not as dramatic as people expect, (it was rebuilt and the U.S. Army put a roof on it when they used it) and most of the fighting was actually done in the areas around the Alamo building now covered with other buildings. However, it is the "Cradle of Texas Liberty" and to a person interested in historic sites is as important (especially to Texans) as Independence Hall. It really depends on your interest. The Riverwalk is a San Antonio MUST! But I prefer the margaritas at La Fogata (get a carafe and let someone else drive home).
Don't worry about the heat at Six Flags it's the same all over town and if you want to do the rides and shows than be hot there as well as anywhere else outside.
Bring your sun block, a collapsable umbrella (we have had an unusally wet year, kind of like a warm version of Seattle) and have a great time.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a great amusement park. They have plenty of rides and they have made great improvements over the past decade. Part of the park is on a boardwalk, which many people find fun and nastalgic. Their water park is also fun. Be sure and plan for the heat; drink plenty of fluids (avoid caffeinated or alcoholic drinks) ahead of time and don't be afraid to sit on a bench and rest awhile. There are plenty of coolspots, such as restaurants and giftshops.
As others have mentioned, HEB grocery stores (prevalent in San Antonio) have discounted ticket offers.

Yes, you'll like Six Flags Fiesta Texas. They've made a lot of improvements. You can get tickets online (print out) or stop by an HEB grocery store and go to customer service. There is an HEB on IH-10 W and DeZavala that's the closest one to Six Flag. Anyway, Six Flags has a really nice waterpark, and a lot of new rides. That's one thing I miss about San Antonio. I live in Austin, my parents live in San Antonio.
You mentioned the Alamo, it's boring and it sucks. I'd rather go to the Riverwalk, and Rivercenter Mall.

Six Flags is fun. The heat might be unbearable but they've recently added some new rides, better dining areas, and great shows. Also make sure to visit Sea World which is about 15 minutes away from Six Flags. They have some incredible new shows as well.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is worth going to. They added a new rollercoaster this year themed to Tony Hawk, called Tony Hawk's Big Spin. SFFT has got the best shows in the country, got the award for the past 7 years.

We love 6 flags Fiesta Texas. If you have kids it's a blast for any age as long as they can walk. They have awesome extreme sports shows, Thrusday concerts (you can get the tickets as soon as the doors open), Rockville high show( dancing and singing), you can eat lunch with bugs bunny, wii testing area, make a music video, great rides, nice water area and much more! Have fun in San Antonio.

If you can stand the humidity by all means go to Six Flags. Also try to go to Lake Travis with someone who owns a boat. VERY Important: if you go out on Lake Travis watch the alcohol intake because there is about sixty five miles of shoreline due to all the coves. Take it from someone who got mildly plastered and THEN all the coves looked alike.
It took five hours to find the right one so I could get back to camp.

I haven't been there in a LONG time and I used to enjoy going there a lot. I've heard that they have made a lot of improvements (more rides, etc.) recently so it should be fun. Be sure to get discounted tickets from HEB (a grocery store in Texas) instead of buying them at the gate if you go.
Have fun!

The Place is called "Chachos" on IH-10 & Callaghan and yuppers the have a killer Top Shelf Margarita. Make sure to get "Monster Kong Nachos" and make sure to go to "Rolando's Super Tacos" for breakfast. Just don't order 2 tacos for yourself, Unless you can eat 13" tacos.
