I just found out I was pregnant the other day.. and a week ago me and my husband were painting and varnishing a room in our house..I've read so much about paint and things hurting the baby.. we had all the doors and windows open... is it going to harm my baby???! I'm so worried.. my doctors appoitment isn't until tomorrow so I need a little reasurrance now!

i painted my babies furniture and rooms when i was pregnant with them.
has long as it is not lead based paint and you are in a well ventilated room you and your baby will be A-OK!
relax and stay calm okay!

You and your baby should be fine. The worst thing about being pregnant is worrying about everything. You had the doors open so you probably weren't inhaling a lot. Plus I think it more applies to the older paints, which are much more harmful for you than what is out now.

I'm going to say that everything will be okay. The same thing kind of happened to me. I wasn't trying or planning on getting pregnant so when it happened it came as a shock. But before i found out i had drank a couple of times. I was so scared that something was going to be wrong with my baby, but he is perfect:-) Good luck!! And don't worry, stress can do the most damage to a baby!!

as a mother of nine i can tell you that based on the info you stated here, you and the baby are not going to suffer any lasting ills from the paint! however, your stress leave can cause some problems. so relax and enjoy the ride!

So many mothers (me included) do things that are said to be harmful to our babies because we do not know we are pregnant yet. Do not worry too much (no matter how many people tell you not to worry you still are going to). Your baby is going to be fine. It is so early in the pregnancy and babies are very resilient. Congratulations!

No it won't my husband and i painted when i was 3 months preg and nothing happened because it was not a regular thing. My baby is 2 months and very healthy.

You are ok don't worry the baby will have no harm done. You really have to be careful around stuff like that the further along you are.

no it shouldnt hurt ur baby cause u had windows and everything opened it should be fine but how far along do u think u are if u are anything from before 6weeks then its absoultly fine
but still talk 2 ur doctor they will reasure u more with there answer

Relax the baby should be just fine. I redid my mothers entire bathroom while I was pregnant with my daughter and she is 18 months old now.

Umm, I think you'll probably be ok... Think about all the women in the world who do unhealthy things when they're unknowingly pregnant- like smoking & drinking, etc. Since you had all the windows open I'm sure you'll be ok.
