George Washington bore a score of scars upon his heart but his cold stoic Deity ism demanded that he forgive his enemies and to be magnanimous a term moderns do not quite comprehend......
What is sad is how little modern Americans are aware of the treachery circulating around Washinton - -- - and mostly at the hands of fellow Virginians.
Yet it was cold Virginian Washingtin who has continued to stand heads above the rest of the pact - - - - so maybe there is truth in adopting a tight polite smile and not bannishing a man like Monroe and the other Virginians to the far side of the Globe...

not really, because Washington was more of a Federalist and Madison became very closely allied with Jefferson and the Republicans, so they were political enemies and didn't really get along that well after that
