I think this one MAY be split down party lines...Should the Congress of the United States work on legalizing all types of drugs (pot etc. ) or try to bring about World Peace?

Either WORLD PEACE or LEGALIZED DRUGS?

World peace is an admirable and legitimate goal for the good of mankind... legalizing all drugs (pot, etc. as you put it) is not. If you think it is, then why don't Miss America contestants have a dream of "legalized drugs" instead of "world peace"? Lol.

Are you really so naive as to believe that legalizing drugs is a good thing? We've had several young people die of overdoses - even of rx drugs being abused. Morphine, Oxy, Fentanyl, Meth... all caused death. Pot is not "harmless" - - not at all, and is a gateway drug.

Legalize. World Peace will take care of itself with the proper steps. I think that would be one such step. I don't think Peace is like a bill that can be voted on...it just happens or it doesn't. But deciding if something should be legal or not...yes we can handle that. And I think we shouldn't waste so much damn money on locking up drug users, let them ruin their own lives if they choose.

ALL drugs should be legal. Freedom of Choice is the American way!

Besides, Congress cannot control the world, but they can make laws here in the USA.

i'm excited by it, yet do no longer think of it's going to convey peace. What it would do is get smugglers and druglords out of a job, unlock prisons and funds, and get rid of yet yet another boogyman ("tha drug person") human beings procuring and advertising in alcohol&tobacco for heroin or hashish would be very constructive for known well being. If legalness would make the charges drop severely, it would scale back crime and streetprostitution. If it incredibly is criminal, establishments would desire to observe over the purity of the medicine, which might additionally be good for the well being of the customers. human beings dieing? site visitors (automobiles on the line) kills human beings on a daily basis, tobacco creates lungdiseases wholesale, alcohol kills and reasons psychoses.... enable's save it in attitude right here

You keep posting questions that are not either-or type issues.

You know what it would take to legalize all drugs in the US? One day. One vote to repeal the current laws that impose federal criminal penalties for drug use. One day, and that's done.

Then they can spend the next 729 days of their two-year term trying to figure out a way to convince all other countries in the world to stop fighting.

World peace is impossible given difference in values and post colonial effects. Legalizing drugs isn't so implausible.
