I am writing a book on marriage and I need people to participate in a survey. I know it's long but I would really appreciate the help!
Please follow the link to the 'survey page' at;

SALLY if you agree that a marriage takes 50/50....you need more schooling......
I've been married for the passed 31yrs and my wife and I have raised 3 children and to be honest here is how it works.......marriage is liken unto a job.....you start a new job and you go in on time everyday....[with marriage you will see each other everyday]....you do all you can do to please your boss and to keep your job..your boss is happy and it makes you feel good[in marriage you do all you can everyday to please your wife so at night she will respond to you and you will be rewarded]....before you know it you have put 5yrs in this new job..now the boss trust you and you are put over bigger things with more pay, vacations and sick days..[ in marriage..you have hard work for the same 5yrs..and now the wife has come to know you alot better and you her, and you also get to go on vacations..trust levels are higher, boys toys are bigger, maybe a child was born, honesty is spoken more often, respect has increased, [ for both] commutcation is always open and responbilites is shared equal [40/60 man having the 60 the way i think it should be]...back to your job.....time has blown and now it's your 20th yr award......mairrage also has a cleabration of 20yrs....things just go on and get better cause like the job...more time you have in the earier it gets....
now you are asking what does all this mean....
the marriage and the job has one important thing in common to make it work .......to hold down a job or marriage you must put 100% and be on time everyday if you wanta keep either......think about it.........

Wow!! That survey is a long one. I had to answer kind of wrong for some of the questions because there were some questions that did not apply to my marriage and I could not leave any questions unanswered. My husband and I do not argue and he has no family and there were a couple of other things that there needs to have a place to comment. Not only that but, My husband and I do Not go out other than to take care of business.

I took the survey and felt it covered a lot of points which are important if a marriage is going to be successful.

Perhaps something like these surveys or people going to counselors will help to turn around the high divorce rate.
