Cause until the troops come home I want them well armored, fed, and taken care of. I have health insurance, a decent job, I can go without socialised medicare for now. The troops can't go without funding.

i spend money on health and i support the war...but i am against socialize health care...the cost may be cheaper but the quality of care is demised as well...so i guess it is a question of priorities...do you want to spend money on a war that is trying to help people to have a free nation...or do you want to spend money on people who live in a free nation and have health care, but because it isn't want you want force everyone to pay and lower the stand of care...

Psssttt...hey you....yeah you Mr. Republican.....if we keep claiming that the war in Iraq is to fight terrorists then maybe everybody will forget about all of the other reasons we've given...yeah that's the ticket.
Excuse du jour. The $$$ and the interest on that $$$ being wasted by your Republican leaders is atrocious and it's mind boggling that you cry about something that hasn't even happened while not owning up to the present situation.
Where's your integrity?
BTW----maybe a pill that costs a $1 to make won't cost $40 to buy.

Well ya know if were all dead then there will be nobody to spend money on health. Oh ya and by the way those who support spending on so called wars and don't on Health dont support spending money on what would be a hopelessly disasterous socialist Universal Healthcare system. Just go to Cuba and tell me how that has worked out for them.

The amount of money spent making war is nothing compared to the amount of money MADE, making war. It really is simply good business - for people who place $ above the lives of others.

Two inocuous entities...stop the emotional rambling..and
learn for God's sake what you oppose and advocate..before you judge or decide on an issue..
Congress doesn't even have a template..and all you advocate is an initiative..everyone at some point has to
do some work...other than feel..what is right and wrong..

Short and oversimplified answer: People can generally deal with health care on their own but they can't engage in any sort of credible national defense at that level.

check the constitution. defense is the number one priority and enumerated power of the federal government. Health care is nowhere to be found in the entire document.

War doesn't cost anything near what a National Health System would and it would never end.
