Does your friend follow the Knicks or the Pistons? Larry Bird didn't die. You must be thinking of LBJ's widow Lady Bird Johnson, who died recently.

Telling people to go to hell because of the sports team they root for? Isn't that a bit drastic? Even if I hate some fans, I would NEVER EVER wish that kind of fate on them. And I am a Cleveland fan, but I live in NE Ohio and have been a Cleveland fan all my life. I liked the Cavaliers before Lebron came around, when they couldn't even get 30 wins on their record. I liked the Browns when they were like 1 win 7 losses this season, and was over joyed when they got a measly 4 wins. I liked the Indians before they competed in the ALCs, and lost. I am a fan of a city that hasn't won any type of championship in 45+ years, and proud of it. So please, please do not act like there aren't any loyal fans to this condemned city. I hate fairweather fans, I hate them with a passion. When the Steelers won the superbowl, my God, you would never see so much black and gold in one week. I hate the mass amount of Cleveland Cavalier fans that just popped up, but it isn't too bad because I live near there. and I hate how people say that Lebron carries the team completely. It was true for previous years, but I need to agree with most of your 3rd paragraph. They have stepped up tremendously. When Lebron doesn't even reach 20 points, the Cavaliers can still pull through. Without Lebron, they would suck and probably wouldn't make the playoffs, but still wouldn't be that terrible. and the Lakers and the Celtics have just as many, or even more bandwagon fans then Cleveland. If Cleveland wins a championship, ready your shield, because you're going to be wishing a lot of people to hell. edit: I wouldn't of thought of it in a sexist way until you said that. -.- I've watched every single Cleveland games this season besides 6 or 7, simply because of conflicting times(10:30 at night or didn't record it) I know plenty about the team, more then you I am sure. I've been a Cleveland fan my whole life, mainly because my parents are and I live in Ohio, like I said before. Stop making retarded accusations about things you have no knowledge of. If you honestly think there are no loyal Cleveland fans, you've never been to a Cleveland Browns game and saw the thousands of people there with brown and orange, rooting on a team that was 1-9. You honestly never saw the true Ohio, even if you've lived here before. So please stop being ignorant, there definitely are loyal Cleveland fans here. If you can't get that through your head, you are being stubborn. answer one question for me, what is a loyal fan to you?

Nope, not dead yet... still alive!! I looked it up and he is still alive and well. You must be thinking of another retired NBA player... more than one died this year.
You scared me there for a minute... if he really died that would be found in the international sports news headlines...
You might be thinking of Lady BIRD Johnson too... she died...
