I'm familiar with the Haber/Bosch process of nitrogen extraction from air using uranium. Would bran muffins make for better extraction of nitrogen?

No. The Branstein/Mufflehagen theory of bran nitrogen filtration postulates that the rate of extraction of nitrogen through a bran muffin is inversefly proportional to the hypotenuse of an isoceles monkey. Therefore, no good use of bran muffins may be found for nitrogen extraction.
