I consider myself an independent, but since all the republican candidates (except for Ron Paul, but let's face it; he's just this election's Perot) have stated (or skirted around actually stating) that they will continue Bush's policies of belligerence, fear-mongering, war profiteering, borrow-and-spending... I'll be voting democrat.

Its quite simple really. Democrats always talk about getting things done. Republicans actually get things done. It's not always right, but sometimes it is. The only reason the Democratic party is still afloat is because stupid people buy into their criticizm of what republicans do wrong. All politicians are sales people. You need to vote party lines. This means republican. They are concerned about all humanity, insuring freedom for the entire world. Liberals whine about what americans don't have. What kind of society is that? Do you want to pay taxes through the nose? Do you want lazy people to suck up all you hard earned money through welfare? I think you get the picture. They really do poison America. As I say, If you don't like America, you are more than welcome to leave. We all know there is some foreigner willing to switch places with you. Vote Republican, Save America!!!

I am a conservative constitutionalist, who has to vote Republican because Democrats just expand government. You can't increase liberty by growing a government.
I hope you like taxes and regulations.
Speaking of which, that "astronomical" deficit has been cut in half since its peak in 2004. Wanna know why? Bush tax cuts. Wanna know why most states are in a surplus? Bush tax cuts.
Pelosi's first 100-hours started a rollback in legislation from these tax cuts. Apparently a strong economy and creating wealth are not issues Democrats want. Keep everyone poor and under the governments thumb.

I pride myself as an independent. I vote for a candidate and what they say. As of now the democrats are offering nothing. My vote will fall to the republicans because the electoral college won't allow an independent to win.
