My friend just got cast in the touring company of JCS. He got into acting because he liked singing for people. In college he studied music education and history. I don't remember if he took any theater classes. He has a natural charisma and he was able to analyze scripts and get to the core of the character. When he was "in characater" he was totally committed. He saved money to live on and left for NYC. He almost instantly got work because he was such a GREAT singer. He's been there for about 2 or 3 years.

No, of course not.
Broadway actors don't know this site exists.

Ask your parents to help you find auditions in your city.
Enroll in an acting class, join the Drama Department at school, audition for the Community Theater where you live.
Read the movie and theater section of your local newspaper, that is where you will often find audition notices.

i'm an actress myself. and if you're only going into the business for the money, i suggest you find something else. the business is SUPER tough and you really do have to have a strong love for it. :) good luck
