I would say stop at 5 or 6, whenever the son is capable of showering/bathing himself.

Usually I'd say when either is uncomfortable, thinking the child was maybe 5 or 6. In my opinion the son is too old to be showering with his mother or father for that matter.

2 or 3, I'd think it'd be a little uncomfortable for the both of them...9 is a little too old to be showering and bathing with his mother.

I'd say 4 or 5 at the most.. then at that age they should be learning to bathe themselves.
I'd say 9 is WAY too old!!

Nine is way too old. I agree with some of the others not older than 5 years. Really, three is probably ideal.. You can keep an ear out for the kid to make sure they are safe after that. But once the child develops a sense of modesty it becomes awkward.

You should stop now. At nine years old, he should get his own space and start to shower alone. You don't want to get too dependent on your parents at any age, because chances are he/she will always be dependent on you even when they get older. Want proof? Well, my dad told me that he knew someone who took baths daily with his mom when he was in 7th grade. And let me tell you, he was not treated well in life. That story is 100% true, honestly.

9 is definitely too old to shower with your children. i would say the best time to stop would be when they start learning body parts and understand that the ones they are seeing don't belong to them and that they shouldn't touch them. as for age I'd guess at about 3

I believe after 1 1/2 to two years children start retaining memories... so probably around that same era you should stop taking showers with the opposite sex child.
