I suppose people have other ideas such as Hulk, Iron-Man, Flash, Wolverine etc.. But I believe that so far, history has selected these three as being the most beloved of the super heroes. I personally think that Spider-Man is the greatest. But it'd be nice to hear other opinions.

Buz, actually Spider-Man is also Spider-Man, whether in his suit or not. The revised Spider-Man doesn't use a mechanical device to shoot webs, rather they come from his body, through his wrists. And he can climb walls, so long as he takes his shoes off. His strength is also, like Superman, always there.

Spiderman for me. I also like Batman and Superman a lot but I enjoy the common guy-in-an-uncommon-situation setting. You can actually feel for the guy as he is trying to be a (sometimes not appreciated) hero and just getting by with his work and studies. It was always my favorite comic to follow so I definately vote for spidey.

well superman could kick their arses but he isn't the most interesting. Batman is a win all the way for me, he has no superpowers but is just plain awesome he has depth of character and is a bit dark and conflicted both in the comics and films. I think based on films alone batman comes out on top as well, christoper nolans batman films have been outstanding and tim burtons have always held a place in my heart, i mean michelle phiefer in a catsuit is never a bad move. I love spidey too, who doesn't.

Many characters are based off of Superman in terms of super strength and being pretty much invulnerable, but I'd have to say Batman. He's always been my favorite. He's a detective, a martial artist and does it all with his brain. No superpowers what-so-ever.

Spiderman is a great character, but his stories could never get me intrigued like Batman's could.

Definitely Superman... altho I like Batman just as much. But for me, the difference can be summarized by 1) David Carradine's speech in "Kill Bill", when he proposes that Superman's different from all the other superheroes in that he's ALWAYS Superman, even when he's not wearing the costume... vs. Val Kilmer's statement in "Batman Returns" that he (Bruce Wayne) is Batman "not because I have to be, but because I CHOOSE to be".

My buddy says "Invincible", but my money is on Swamp Thing for these reasons: 1. Had to die to become a superhero. 2.Isn't all flash and no substance. 3.Had to put up with those awful movies.

Superman. He was the original super-hero in comics. All the others derive from him.
