From the view of someone who knows much about or is going/went there, is it a fun place to go to college? Are the parties fun, is the area a nice place to live in, and how is the work load?

School- College really is what you make of it...no matter where you go to. If you want to barely study and take easy courses, you definitely can do that at ASU. However, if you are a little more serious about your academics ASU has many exceptional programs- Education, Geography, Business, etc. So the workload really is up to you. ASU has been trying to change their image from a party school to a serious academic college so you might be surprised how hard or challenging some of your classes may be.

Things to do: There are lots of activities to join- associated with ASU and just in the community. Greek life is okay (I was involved for several years, but it wasn't for me). There are so many places to go out and party at that you really don't need to be apartment of a frat/sorority. Outside of school there are so many places to drive to for weekends and vacation. For instance, VEgas, LA, San Diego, Mexico (Puerto Penasco), Grand Canyon, Utah/Co for Skiing..too many to name).

OVerall, ASU is a GREAT place to go to school. I loved it there and I wouldn't have gone anywhere else.
