No. the cycle of the world would be upset if we could all live forever. the world would become overpopulated and choatic since we would all get bored. the whole cycle is that we live and we die. in my opinion that shouldn't be upset!

Hope This Helps!

No, I'd Get Realy Bored After A Few Thausand Years, And Then I Would Be Constantly Trying To Find A Way To Terminaly End My Bordom.

That Is, Of Course, If You Are Talking About Enernal Youth, And Not Simply Eternal Life, 'Cos In The Latter You Still Grow Older, And That Is One Of My Own Personal Hells.

Not if I just kept getting older like people get old.
If I got to pick a time of my life and stay there, and live forever, then yes, I would, and my life would only get better as time wore on for everyone else.
Depending on which religion you subscribe to, you WILL get to live forever in some sort of Heaven, or Valhalla, or The Happy Hunting Ground, or whatever you call it in your belief system. So maybe the point is moot. At any rate, we'll all know soon enough. . . .

Maybe if I could live freely and at one with the world but all I can see is that you'd be under surveillance, working for someone else's gain at the best times of day to enjoy the world and whatever money you earned (overrated stuff) you would have to pay just to exist so I think the idea of living forever in "society" sounds like hell on earth.

Yes but with provisos in place like as long as my loved ones are with me and I can remain healthy enough to enjoy life!

I do have a very healthy interest in reincarnation with the concept that our souls do live forever, being placed on earth after one chapter to live through another, meeting up with the same soul mates we've been with previously but in different scenarios, put in place to help us "grow", and meeting new ones on the way too - only downside is that we could meet again with our foes from times gone by, who would also be busy "learning and growing" too.

If I'm alone and ill I wouldn't want to live forever........there is such a thing as quality of life and I'm afraid that that would be the first consideration as to whether or not I would like to.

Is not really a matter of choice, a body dies but what happens then... to you?
The basic principle of existence is survival and that is only true for the body. A spirit cannot help but survive, whether you are in heaven or in hell or on Earth or wherever you are.
That is the saddest thing to most people.
It is so sad that they very well like to forget.
If he thinks of this at all, he thinks of it this wise:
"I am going to live a number of years and then I will go to my reward. And I hope it won't be what I deserve".

If I had the ability to live forever, I would have to keep healthy, because I'd probably have the worst bodily functions by then.

I would only say yes if I were able to die when i want.

No, it would negate the human experience if we were to live forever. Being immortal would eventually mean no more questions to ask or answer. And a world without intrigue would be a very dull place indeed.

And what makes u think we don't live forever? I believe that life exists independent of the body.

Physically, no. In the hearts of my loved ones, yes. I wouldn't want to live forever and see everyone I love die.
