In general men and women are on the same level if they're both healthy and a woman hasn't reached menopause or lost interest in the man or vice versa. Hormones testosterone(In a man and a woman, too) and progesterone (in women) have different reaction on each other. Men react to a woman with a mental and physical attraction. Each man has a different level of testosterone. It determines how his manhood reacts. More testerone production the more active he is. Women are just more modest and conservative about how they feel even though some women are becoming of age and being more open with there feelings. In some cases hormones are stronger than a man or a womans judgement. Pregnancy happens then. The urge is stronger than mind is mentally capable of rationaling. In other words the consequences of action don't equate until it's entirely to late.

Teenagers apart, I'm not sure men are more horny than women. However, it's true that, if a guy hasn't had sex in a while, he will usually feel the need to have sex. For women, in most cases (I think), although we do feel the need for sex, after a while, you tend to forget about it. The need does come back on a regular basis, but I don't think it's as strong as for men. But I;ve never read a study about that, so I couldn't be sure. I do think that, in a relationship, both are as horny, but sometimes you end up with someone who is not as horny as you are.
I went out with a guy for a week (I was on holiday, staying at his place). He is the type of guy who doesnt look at women but stares at them (i'm not sure he notices he does that!). But he isn't that horny. We did it 3 times (plus 1 bj) in 7 days, I actually talked to him about that, but he said he hadn't had a gf in a while, and he masturbates about twice a week, so he is used to that rhythm... (and I know I turn him on) That was weird to me because, as soon as I have a boyfriend, I get really horny ALL THE TIME!

If you look at animal behavior males are almost always the ones that carry out the courtship rituals and must get the females to mate with them. Look at birds: it's the male that has the flamboyant colorations and displays to attract the females. It's rarely the other way around.
The reason is that it's females that have to do the actual work of reproduction (carry the offspring). So if you're male it makes more sense to mate with as many females as possible, while if you're female it makes more sense to try to mate with the male that will give you the best set of genes for your offspring. Hence males are the suitors and females are the choosers. And so it pays more for males to be sexually agressive than it does for females.
Hormonally, it's probably because men have more testosterone. Testosterone suppliments given to women are known to increase sex drive.

Sex for men and women from the biological perspective is a chance for reproduction. That involves 20 minutes of sex for men, and for women it involves 20 minutes of sex, 9 months of pregnancy, 72 hours of labor, 10 months of nursing, and years of parenting. During all that the male can simply go and find another female to knock up.
Given all that, is it any suprise that men have evolved to be always eager and ready, and women a bit more careful and choosy?

I don't think they're hornier. Just more prone to promiscuous sex because of socialization, because they don't have to worry about pregnacy, and because men can focus/compartmentalize more, just focus on getting sex, and ignore other feelings, like those of attatchment and affection that occur after sex

the lions one was cute, but i think its cause boys have a pen!s and girls have vag!nas.
when a girl gets horny, her nerves start firing and she gets all wet.
but boys, we get our skin all streched out in we get this throbing shaft of pure nerves and blood vessels thats hooked up to something thats connected to our brain, and we can intensly feel it at all times, so we say to ourselves "i gotta get this thing to go down or im gonna start getting dizzy" and we are counted as more horny because of it, not to mention, our testosterone is made (via test!cles) right around all of out important organs (kidney, liver, bladder, ect) and those then spread it out to the rest of our body and it flows through us, but i dont know where a woman produces estrogen.
other than that, maybe its cause girls are more descrete about it.
