Vernon Davis is the best physical specimen. Alge Crumpler is the better football player for now.

It's pretty much who's going to get the ball more.

Michael Vick dumps it off to Crumpler every time he runs into trouble compared to Alex Smith not being able to get the ball to anyone, and if he is.. he goes for Antwaan Randle El and the other decent receivers there.

Vick has no one to throw to but Crumpler. Smith has plenty of options.

I'd take Alge Crumpler.

Vernon Davis. The only reason his stats don't show how dominant of a player he has the potential to be is because he was injured early last season, But Crumpler has had numerous injuries and is a large injury risk this year as well. Davis is on an emerging offense with Frank Gore and a new and improved WR corps. On the flip side, Crumpler is on a diminishing offense with poor RB's and WR's. Atlanta is going to have a hard time getting the ball to him because they are going to be behind in alot of games, increasing their need to go deep, instead of having the advantage of throwing short passes to TE Crumpler. Also, after Vick, their QB situation is horrible and pending Vick's indictment, may or may not completely ruin the Falcons season this year. Id go with Davis any day of the week. Hope this helps, good luck this season.

How deep are you at runningback. in case you have 3 stable starters, than i might say bypass forward and settle for the commerce. Glenn could have a stable 12 months, and Alge Crumpler is a shown tight end. Vernon Davis would be stable, yet no longer as a lot of an impression this season.

Crumpler had the better numbers last season but I would go with Vernon Davis. He is much like Antonio Gates. He is more like a reciever than a tight end. He is extremely fast, probably the fastest tight end in the NFL. He was hurt for a part of last season and could have a breakout year this season. Take Vernon Davis.

Vernon Davis by far, especially if Mad Dog Vick can't finish the season.

I think your Question is asking who is better.
And the answer is Vernon Davis.
He is a freak of nature, and could change the position.
