= 17(x^2 + 5)

Is that a typo...maybe 17x^2 = 85???

If so,
17x^2/17 = 85/17
x^2 = 5
x = √5

Hi. Let x=1, then 17 + 85 is your answer.

You can factor it to get 17(x^2 + 5), but thats the furthest you can go. This is not an equation and is not solvable because there is no way we can find the "x" term
