why is there still so much racism and hatred out there?

i have seen many of these questions out there that start off by say why does blacks do this, or why does whites do that or why does such and such race does whatever. this is really quite sad that even today in the 21st century that there is still so much hatred out there and it just brings me down that to this day we still cannot put aside our differences and try to get along. black people, white people, all people we need to come together and stand united against things that truely matter such as crime, predators, etc... and stop all this bickering about race. we come a long way, but we much more to do.

well tommy t seems that you cannot spell but with that said, do you honestly think that by calling me that word that you will somehow offend me. i do not get offended by words because those who use those words shows just how intelligent they really are. so you have not offended me at all and i respect your opinion.

there is another comment that mentions that blacks need to own up to what they did....um could you be a little more specific? also why should only one group of people apologize why cant all groups apologize and go from there?

I see a lot of overt and covert racism in the real world. Some of it is checked, at least superficially, by the growing roster of anti-discrimination laws.

In the web realm, however, I think it's mostly kids or loners who post the troll-type questions. I suspect they've got very little going for them in the real world, so are hungry for attention here. And why not? They are safely anonymous.

I think the people who ask misguided questions with sincerity tend to be lazy or cowardly about doing the research to support or to negate their assumptions. I say lazy because they rely on popular media to regurgitate pap down their throats. I say cowardly because they don't want to actually speak with any of the minorities, they don't think to read books or explore alternative media produced by other minorities, it doesn't occur to them that their skewed perception of reality might be wrong or their misguided sense of identity might come crashing down.

Why ask here? I suspect they either get the same answers from their exclusive group of friends, or they have been shot down in real life by people who actually think.

Harsh? Why not? I'm tired of people with brains bloated by junk food "facts" that they choose to nourish their minds, exerting no effort to think for themselves, and tell the world at large, "Prove to me that I'm wrong! I'm not, of course, and I'll shoot down any evidence or logic to the contrary of what I believe, but I just don't feel like doing any actual work myself."

I think it's gotten worse in general because of the prevalence of popular media. The ignorant messages aren't contained in one little community, but are broadcast so that you can feel that your racist/sexist/elitist/xenophobic propensities are shared by everyone.

We can't get along because this is a materialistic society we live in. What matters is whether someone is successful or someone has money. We worship things and money, like cars, houses, computers, iphone, mercedes benz, ivy leagues, food, clothes, etc. We judge others by what they do for a living and what they wear. We don't care if they treat you right or care about the world. They only care about volunteering if it's Bill Gates who does it.

I have the same question, but only on my mind. I believe it would never go away, unfortunately. As someone who belongs to "such and such" race, I've seen it as I was growing up.

final analysis is there'll continuously people who hate and worry human beings for on reason or yet another. except those human beings take their hatred and turn it into movements that have a unfavorable effect on my lifestyles different the lives of others i ought to careless what somebody thinks. As loopy as this could sound someone has the splendid to hate me for although reason they pick although if that reason is absurd. besides the undeniable fact that someone does not have the splendid to break me. that's the place I make the excellence between the two. someone hating me isn't my problem till they make it my problem. the suitable element for somebody who hates me to do is stay out my way and that i will do likewise. My factor to all that's lifestyles is basically too short and there are too many perfect issues that this worldwide has to furnish for me to be desperately attempting to get a racist to alter his perspectives of me. i do no longer want each and every ones love and devotion yet I call for each ones know. A racist does not could desire to love me yet he does could desire to grasp me. as quickly as I say know I advise the respect of what could ensue to him if i'm compelled to defend myself.

I wish people would realize that anyone can act a certain way and behave a certain way...
