yes, easiest ten bucks I ever made. It cost me $200 in lost wages, and I got to convict a guy of drunk driving while his wife wailed.

I was called to jury duty but all of the cases were settled and so no jury was formed. Pretty much the first thing the judge told us during his introduction was that the courts pull jury candidates out of the DMV records and not the voter registration records, and that this was a common misconception.

Yes. No big deal It was for thirty days. First day was orientation with a couple hundred people. Had to make sure I had to phone every week-day after 5:30 PM to see if I was called for next day. Never happened I was called until the last day (30 days), we were dismissed at noon. That was it.
If you are chosen, even as an alternate, if the trial lasts one hour and is over, you are dismissed for the rest of the 30 days. Really easy.

Yes. During one term, I served on a jury for a girl suing a guy for a car wreck. She lost.
And a girl who was found guilty of stealing from another person's locker in the employees rooms of the hospital.
And an old man suing a former boss who had spread it all over town that the old guy had stolen from him. (Old guy lost)
Got picked for a trial when a woman was suing Clairol for her hair turning sky blue after she'd used a product. Settled that one before we got to hear it.
All in all, it was a very interesting experience.

Yes, and it SUCKED so much, I cannot find the words to even express it!!!
I'd rather clean all of the toilets in Grand Central Station with my tongue, than to do jury duty again!!!
Good luck.

Twice. It was terrible, so bad I would have rather been at work. Both instances involved sexual molestation of young children. First time the guy pleaded guilty at the absolute last second. The second time I was just an alternate juror so I was never in on the deliberations.

i have. years ago,It was kind of cool. When i got to court there were allot of us jurors. They sent us in by sections to select the jury in the court room. When my name was called.I said here. The lawyers asked me a couple of questions out loud for the whole court room to here, judge and all..like,are you racist?..have you ever been arrested?..do yo have any African American friends?..the reason i was asked those questions was because it was a black guy on trial for burglary.there were about 50 of us total, they needed 12 jurors.I was one of the chosen 12 to sit in the trial as a juror.it lasted close to 2 weeks. We found him not guilty..it was a neat experience,i would like to do it again.

Yes
The case was about a guy that drove the car of someone that stole a beach umbrella and some cigarettes. Really pointless.
