Is it illegal for an 18 year old guy to have sex with a 15 year old girl, who is turning 16 soon, in new york. I've read the 4 year age gap condition, but need more explainations please. Thank you.

No - you can be arrested. Unless in New York the legal age where you are considered an adult is 15!

It is not illegal. My mother tried to press charges on my sisters 17 year old bf after she got pregnant at 15. If you are 18 yes it is illegal so as soon as you turn 18 stop having sex cause you will go to jail. And you will always have to register as a sex offender. That mean you will have a very limited job opportunities and some colleges will not accept you. My best advise is don't have sex your too young.

I believe the law is that the younger person has to be 16 before the older person turns 18.
So 15 and 18 don't work.

YES! The age in New York is actually 17, for consent of BOTH males and females.
