I was a boy scout/and cub scout for 4 years..(please read)?

Then it got closed up! I don't know really what happened. I have no papers and my cub scout is lost. You know. Oregon City. I want to get reenlisted. Can I? Could I? How do I? Thanks!

If you are in Oregon City Oregon, you are in the Cascade Pacific Council. Try http://www.joinboyscouts.com/ for general information and look at http://www.thescoutzone.org/locator.html for the link to join a troop. Look for two or three troops in your area and visit one or two meetings before deciding which unit to join. Ask for a copy of their troop policy, equipment list, and activity calendar. When visiting troops, watch which troops the boys have more fun in, which ones the boys run and which one the adults run. You will enjoy the troops that the boys run more, but will do less things. You will end up learning more in the boy-led troops than the adult-led troops.

Once you have picked a troop, talk with the Scoutmaster and advancement chair about your Scouting history. They can help you straighten out your records and get you going on your Scouting trail again.

If your troop closed down, your records should have been sent to the national headquarters, so google them up and see if they have a help line on their web page.
