Well you would basically connect the belkin into the 2wire and then all computers would connect to the belkin.

The normal pattern
Modem----->Router-----> Computers
You have a cable from the Modem to the Internet/WAN port of the router and cables from the "LAN" port to your wired computers and then connect wireless units to the SSID of the Belkin.

However, before you do that, most 2wire units ARE ROUTERS. So check the model number of your 2wire "Modem" and then get the setup information from
http://2wire.com under Support tab. Even better MOST of the 2wire units are also wireless so you may only need to enable the device or enter the correct key (located on the bottom of the 2wire) in order to connect to it from your laptop.

There a couple of unknowns here and I am going to make some assumptions. #1 you are on dial up and your PC is direct connected to the phone line. #2 you have a newer Belkin router, wireless or not. #3 you wish to extend the PC connection to the laptop without disconnecting it. Here goes. The Belkin product does not have to be used if you use a line splitter for your phone line. Each device will get its' own line. Or- The Belkin router should be attached to the line in and then to your PC. You could then (wireless or not) extend the service to your lap top. Or- you have a DSL or similar service connected to your PC. In this case, connect the Belkin device in line with the DSL router and then to the two computers. Or - you can Use the Bel kin for a wireless router and purchase or activate (if already installed) the wireless card(s) for your computers. Or - look at the connection guide that came with the Belkin and follow it 1,2,3,4, to the last step. Keep in mind also that if using the Belkin for a wireless router that it emits a signal your computer will see as a stand alone network. You may have to go into your Wi-Fi program and select it as a device available for use by your lap top.
With the information you provided, this is all I can tell you. I have several extenders for travel, including a Belkin. I use a removable Dlink, 2.4GHz high speed, wireless cardbus adapter for my Dell lap top and my Gateway is Wi-Fi from the factory. My 2 desk top PC's are line connected.

2 things, it is not legal to highjack from anothers Internet Service Provider. Next if your Belkin Router is not a wireless router then you will not be able to connect wireless.
Last if your Belkin Router is Wireless then you will need to get out the paperwork that came with your Router and it will give you a step by step on how to confiqure it.
You will need to connect an Ethernet Cable from your Internet Service Providers Modem to your Belkin Routers WAN Port. and then follow the directions on the paperwork.
