It could be a lot of different reasons. Maybe the competition was really fierce and the people doing the nominating didn't feel that days was as good as the other entries. Maybe we have the same people that do the nominations year after year after year and they are prejudiced against certain shows. Maybe they have their favorite shows and they tend to vote for them. Maybe people are buying their votes. A network can guarantee themselves more viewers if they can honestly claim that they have all of the best soap operas on their channel. I am not saying that any of these things happened, I am just bringing up things that may have happened. When votes for stuff are concerned, anything is possible. It would be better if everything was done honestly, but with the way that people in this world are now a days, you never know. Maybe you should check into whether or not the fans have any kind of vote or say about the emmys. If the fans do get to vote, make sure that you and every one you know votes for your favorite soap. I don't know what else anyone could possibly do. I think that it would be impossible to prove that the votes were rigged in any way (that is if they were). It isn't like anyone on the inside would say anything. Maybe your show will do better next time.

Apparently, the tapes they submitted were not as good as the ones that the other shows submitted. I think its really a shame, because there are some very talented people over at Days. Its a shame to see NBC getting out of the daytime drama business.

I'm a huge Days fan. I will admit that it is not quite the caliber as some other soaps, such as GH, which had several noms. I'm pretty impressed by the storylines and acting on GH. However, I think that with the new writers, Days is starting to really catch up. I definitely think Sami, Hope, and EJ will get some much deserved accolades someday in the future.

Days hasn't been doing very well in the ratings for months, with ridiculous storylines from bad writers, or so that's what I've been reading. It hasn't been the top soap for a long time. Sadly, Young and the Restless is headed in the same direction under head writer and exec producer Lynn Marie Latham.

Guess it just wasn't good enough to get the votes to be nominated this year. Soaps are cyclical. Days wasn't the only soap snubbed this year. AMC & OLTL weren't nominated for much either.

Usually if a soap isn't nominated, it's because the episode(s) they submitted for review wasn't good enough, or there were better episodes of other soaps.

It's my understanding that the shows have to submit their tapes and if they didn't submit anything they don't get nominated
