Which is better agpx4 or pci? I NEED a new video card and want to know if agp is better or if pci is. I think a new computer with a pci express port would be better or even a new motherboard with pci-e but for now which is better agp or pci?

The PCI bus is SLOW for 3D graphics acceleration. It will just bottleneck/slowdown any good GPU. Buy a good AGP card.

AGP was designed as a graphics port only.
PCI is a mult purpose port.
ISA we won't even discuss that
I would use the AGP port if possible, insure that you have the correct AGP card for your mobo. ie; AGP AGPx4 AGPx8. some can handle multiple x's some can't. Buy for your need.
However, there are some excellent PCI cards out there. Shop and compare, it is your choice.

PCI Expess is the way to go because AGP will become the reg PCI slot that used to be faster than ISA.
