Irv S.... the Corvette is not a Poney (correctly spelled Pony) car. That is referring to a Mustang or Camaro
Knock N.... a NHRA roll cage means diddly squat on a street driven vehicle, and a proper cage almost makes the car undrivable on the street. The door bars and a pain (yes even with swing outs) and the rear bars will reduce vision out of the rearview mirror.
cgriffin1972.... that is not your ZR-1. I know the current owner of that vehicle who currently resides in Oregon, and the owners who owned it while in Idaho, I know the car because I helped in the transaction.
As far as the 90 Corvette being safe, it will withstand a hard impact and keep the passengers safe. But as with everything else, you can push the limits. An accident over 100 will not be pretty in a Volvo or a Vette

You're talking about a 17 year old poney car.
How bad has it been beat on?

depends on the driver - if it's a teen, they could make a Volvo a deathtrap.
