Hubby & I are having trouble agreeing on names. We have very different tastes but we are working on it and we'll get there eventually! We are having a girl! Just want your opinion on these names and hoping for middle name suggestions if you have any!

Avery
Malia
Brynn
Maryn (MARE-IN) ~Any other spelling suggestions?~

(BTW- I have picked up a few of these names off other peoples questions-If one is yours, I hope you don't mind!)

Avery - I perfer this on a boy.

Malia - Pretty, feminine and girly. Hawaii for of Mary, if I'm not mistaken, my second favorite. I think it means "Pearl", don't quote me on that, though.

Brynn - Not my favorite, but pretty.

Maryn - (Maren, Marin, Mairen) - Lovely, my favorite, it means "Of the sea" I think, so beautiful, Mairen/Maren is my favorite spelling.

As of this point I think Avery is a boy's name and your daughter will have problems with that. Maryn, if you are having to explain how to pronounce it, teachers will have many problems and your child will hate that. Malia is too weird so out of your I like Brynn the best.
Brynn for a middle name is hard without a last name. I would try for a link to a family name. We have used links of Marie and Allyson (Alice was the link). Catherine we also used to name ours Kathryn. Think outside the box. We used these with grandparents and beyond. It still gives you leaway, but a link to the family.Good luck and God bless

I really like names that are not used so much and are very unique. But a tip would be not to name her malia or brynn. Avery is unique and rare. Hope you liked the ones I gave you. Congrats.

I really like Brynn.

I had the same problem with my daughter. The hubby and I just couldn't agree. We finally just flipped through a book and started pointing at random names. We finally landed on one that we liked the meaning and thought the name was lovely. We BOTH agreed it was nice, so we didn't press our luck after that. lol *By the way, her name is Alyssa.
