I'm looking for something new, and seemingly random that does not identify the location or who owns the router.

Interesting how many "secure" networks I can get into by using the WEP or WPA key as the password.

I you really want to be "secure" with a nondescript SSID use anything you like and turn off the broadcast at the router... you wont even show up from any computer as being active that way!

But if you manually key it into your computer you will connect!

Just to add to what others have said.. Sometimes making up 'random' passwords is very difficult and not random at all. People tend to get into a pattern of randomness.

It's better if you use a random password generator. Then you can achieve true randomness. If you use an application like KEEPASS or Password Safe, you can generate the password and also save the password securely within the application.

It ups to you. But remember don't use your WEP or WPA key to be your SSID.

SSID can be anything you want it to be. alpha-numeric. SSID is use to identify your network. just make sure that you secure it so that no one else can use your connections without a KEY.
