I'm sure it's a tough situation and yes, i'd for sure feel like being depressed, but really it's our decision on wether we are gonna be depressed or just try to deal with life brings our way, i mean, i'm sure it's easy to sit around and feel bad about the situation but if you stop and think about it, that won't help anything at all, the best way to cope with the depression would be to have faith, have faith that things are gonna be ok no matter what lifes obsticals bring your way, sounds like you need more of Jesus in your life, you don't have to go to church if you don't want, although that does bring comfort, just open a bible, read the words....that's how i cope through anything....keep a journal, even your hubby can keep a journal...just write down your feelings, whatever they me be, good or bad and close the book, and let it go....being sad and depressed won't make the situation any better therefore why put yourself through that, and i know sometimes no matter how hard you try you can't help but feel hopeless and sad but stop at those times and think of the good things in your life, the ones that are going right....i'll be praying for yall two in the meantime and i'm sure things will be ok, be patient and give it time.

Of course I would be depressed. Everyone would be depressed in such situation. But then I would think of other people who have it much worse than I do. I would think of parents whose children got kidnapped, people devastated with AIDS and malnutrition in Africa, children who lost both their parents and have to live in an abusive foster home, there are so many things to think about. And then I would accept the facts of my situation and know that from now on I have a choice: continue to be depressed OR smile more by trying to enjoy the little things that I still have in my life.

I can't say how I would feel, but I would say that you have to roll with the punches and make the best of what you have. We all have our cross to bear, some more than others unfortunately. It's easier said than done I know, but I would cope with the depression, by concentrating on all of the good things in my life, and not letting life grind me down.

It depends on if you consider your disability....a disability. I know a lot of disabled people who do not consider themself disabled.
The only thing to do is talk with someone about the depression and get medication from a doctor. Depression will not go away on it's own....it only gets worse!

Yeah, I imagine depression would set in every once in a while. That's alot of negative in your life. All any of us can do is try to make the best of what we've got. And cherish with such conviction anything good that comes our way.

Yes I would be depressed. The trouble is people tell you to "get a grip on yourself" ot "pull yourself together" and if you new how to you would.
See your doctor and social services to get some help (pills are not the answer) and respite care for you both for a start
