I have known some 60 year old that I thought were like 30 50 or 60 is not even that old. It is how you live or how well you take care of yourself. True that you are a long way off so don't waste your time worrying about that the process is so slow that you won't even notice the change, but if you were happy about being old at your age you wouldn't be normal.
If you live a happy and productive life you will be younger longer and it won't feel bad when you do get old. It is a long time until that happens and worry only makes it come faster.

Do not fear. There is life after the age of 18. You may not believe it, but someday you might look back on 18 as a time to cringe, or not. 50 or 60 is a long way off. You have time to adjust gracefully to gray thinning hair and glasses. On the plus side you probably won't have to worry about acne. Wrinkles become happy lines and you can mature in ways you never dreamed. It is like a cocoon opening and releasing a beautiful butterfly. Maybe you are just comfortable in your cocoon and afraid it might split open and take away your good feelings of the moment.

It aways feels strange when you think about it. Don't worry--at 18, that's a long ways away. :)
When I was 18, I worried about turning 30. But now, here I am, going to be 29 next year. And I can honestly tell you, I'm looking forward to it. My parents are both in their 50s and they live good lives. My grandparents are all in their 70s and, you got it, they're all doing fine. Age is just a number. The rest is what you make of it.
You're way too young to be worrying about what you're going to feel like when you're old. Enjoy this time. All of it. Don't give reason to the saying, "Youth is wasted on the young!" ;)

Remember that the 50 & 60 year-olds around you NOW are a different generation entirely, therefore, "stuffier" than you and your friends will be someday.
Anyone 15 years older than you will seem "old"--at 18 this would be 33 years. When you're 33, those who are 48 will seem "old" but you will have "seniority" over those who are newly 18.
At 48, "old" will seem to be about 63, but you will still "feel" like 25 or 30 inside.
If it's your physical health you are worred about, then, as the old joke goes, "If I knew I was going to live so long, I would have taken better care of myself." Or...
A health-food restaurant's sign read "Eat here and live longer." Next-door, a fast-food place's sign said : "Eat here and die happy."

Your really weird. You are only 18. You have many years to still be young. And getting old is not bad. I'm 40 and I still feel very young. Nobody wants to get old but it is inevitable. Nothing you can do about it. Just enjoy your life and dont think about getting old. You have your whole life ahead of you and many many things to look forward to. Just concentrate on how you can make your life great as you do get older. Enjoy every day and make the most of it. Life is precious and you only get one of them. Just think about the kids who have died at young ages and never even made it to 18. I'm sure they would much rather be in your shoes and want to live to grow older. Stop being so selfish.

Stop worrying about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself. There are enough things to think about for today.
50 or 60 may sound old to you now, but remember when you were in kindergarten and 18 sounded old? When you get there you will realize how wrong you were at this point.
As the saying goes, "Cross that bridge when you come to it." There's no point in worrying about it now.

i don't blame you, it is very scary to be old today. do you know that if you do a good job of caring for yourself now you can be a young 50 or 60 year old. i am 55 and couldn't think of even turning 30, but 30 came and went like nothing. i was at my best at 35. just remember, you are as old as you feel. sometimes i have to remind myself how old i am, because i do forget, because i am a happy person.

When I was your age, I thought the same way. Now that I've gone over several "hills" I know that aging is one of the greatest gifts life can offer.
You feel weird about aging because you may look at older people and see yourself that way. WRONG! Enjoy your life. Being 50 isn't old any more - in fact, my life was far better at 50 than it was at 20. Relax!!

You are 18 dear. When you get older that train of thought will change. What you are feeling is not uncommon to everyone. Most kids think that the most horrible thing in the world is to get "old" until they start getting older. Take care of your body, exercise, eat right and hopefully you will live a long and prosperous life.

Don't think about becoming "old." Think about being young and prepare for being not old, but older. I am 3 1/2 times your age and I promise you I can still kick your booty, or at the very least make a darn good run at it. Time may seem to pass slowly for you now, but it WILL pass and your attitude WILL change. In the meantime make sure you get a good education or develop a solid skill. ...and forget about being "old." That WILL happen soon enough.
