One of the best things to do to avoid procrastination is break things down into steps. People who avoid doing things that they should be doing tend to lump all their tasks into one big impossible task. Since, in their mind they have made they're work impossible, they tend to avoid work all together. So, try just doing one thing on your list. Just one thing! Doesn't it sound easy? Then maybe take a short break. Feel good about yourself and have a sense of accomplishment. Then, again, do just one thing. Before you know it you'll have completed your list. Now, rest and reward yourself!!!

Try it!!!!!!!!!

After getting into the habit of doing things this way, you might notice and start to incorporate better ways of doing things in a different order in a more efficient and less time consuming manner. This is called "time management" and helps you to become more organized.

Good luck, hope this helps

P.S., Also try typing in procrastination or avoiding procastination in the Yahoo! search box. There's gotta be a lot of websites online that give tips like the one above.

Laterality plays a part in the way we deal with details or the big picture! Right lobed people are Type-A detail people who don't procrastinate and can rarely relax. Left-lobe people tend to see the whole picture, are more creative and take time to ponder/wonder. Procrastination is a time when the parts of something are being considered; weighed; and placed in sequence, pattern or a new design. This takes internal time and then when it takes shape, the outer falls into place. Right-lobers have termed this creative-time "procrastination".
