Saddam was the glue that kept Iraq together.
Iran is a regional power and the Persians are more than ready to fill in the void we created in Iraq.That scares the hell out of the Arabs who traditionally hate the Shiia Persians.
Now the Middle East is on fire and everything is about who controls what and who has more power.
