Cascade has a very strong odour, irritates the eyes, and fills the cupboard with the odour.

Cascade dishwasher seems to be very toxic. My eyes water, and it has an odour that goes all over my condo. Why?

This is in a green coloured package, 1.69kg(3.75lb)60oz.
It states "Powerful Cleaning"

Helps protect Glasses
Also "Fresh Scent"

I have never seen a warning like this on any other dishwasher detergents.

Cascade has a stronger bleaching agent in it that's why they claim to clean better. If i can't find my dishwasher detergent I use my dawn dish soap just a couple of drops because of this similar issue. If you do that don't fill those soap things full just a teaspoon is about all it takes, you'll have suds leaking out otherwise.

I don't know what scent you are buying but I use Cascade Complete and have never had any unpleasant odor nor any irritations. You may just be allergic to the particular brand.

You should have checked other types of Cascade. They probably have an unscented version. If you haven't opened the box, go back to the store you brought it from and see if there is another scent.
