Isn't it a little LATE to be thinking about birth control?

If you don't want or can't provide for the baby, why don't you ask the father if he wants it, or someone from either family, yours or his. I can tell you that had my son got someone pregnant I would have wanted to raise the child or help provide for the grandchild.

I'd strongly recommend that you not try to abort your child yourself. You could injure yourself and might only succeed at injuring your child--and then you have to go to the hospital. "Planned Parenthood" is looking for two things: money and political power. So I'm not surprised that they want your money.

Why not consider adoption? You won't have to pay anything. There are two million couples looking to adopt. Some adoptive parents are even able to help birth mothers financially. You can even pick who gets to raise your child if you want to; and you can keep in touch if you want to. Why not give your child a chance at life?

Have you visited your local churches, charities, and welfare office? They might be able to provide financial assistance.

Abortion might seem like the simple solution to your problems, but you'll have to live with your choice for the rest of your life--at Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, etc. (Many women remember the exact date that they had their abortions.) I've met a number of women who have had abortions, and they regret them years after the fact. I saw a poll taken around Mother's Day which found that 94% of mothers were happy with their decision to become a mother. Abortion doesn't solve problems, it just creates more problems.

Abortions also create risks for women. Risks of suicide, substance abuse, and accidental death increase from 400-600% in the year following an abortion. Studies have also found a link between abortion and breast cancer.

You should research any abortion clinic that you'd consider using. Because abortion is such an explosive political issue, abortion clinics are not typically regulated very strictly. I know it's hard to believe, but the female governor of Kansas recently vetoed a bill which would have required all abortion clinics in the state to meet veterinary clinic standards.

You might view pro-lifers as part of the problem, but pro-lifers are the ones that will provide free counseling before and AFTER an abortion--which is more than most abortion clinics will do. If you're injured by abortion, pro-life lawyers will sue on your behalf. And the goods and services provided by pregnancy resource centers are free.

Please research your decision carefully, and choose life. Best of luck.

I don't think there's any safe way that's terribly effective. Planned parenthood will offer you an abortion free of charge. Unfortunately, if there's not one in your area you may have to travel. Just look up the nearest one in a phone book and give them a call and explain your situation.

Hmmm...that's wierd that they told you that. Did they ask you what your income was before they said that? They might have taken that into account. If so, maybe you should try calling them back, and this time, telling them it's significantly less. You also might try callign planned parenthoods that are a little farther away but might have better funding. They get a lot of donations in my liberal state, which might be why they're able to provide more free services out here.

If not, I'm sure you can find a hosptial where you can have it done without having to give money upfront. Of course, you'll have to pay it back eventually, but what else can you do?

Good luck. And remember, whatever "remedies" someone gives you for takign care of it yourself, be sure to research it to make sure it's safe for you. There's a lot of quacks out there.

Planned parenthood will tell you where clinics are, they will not pay for an abortion. Your best option is to put the baby up for adoption.
Sweet rush and tansy are 2 herbs that are supposed to cause miscarriage, but I don't know anyone who has tried them.

Have you talked about this with the baby's dad ... your parents ... friends? It sounds as if you're iscolating yourself from people who love you. This iscolation is making you panic which could lead to you doing real harm to yourself.

Part of growing up is reaching out to your loved one's and getting HELP. You need help right now. It isn't always easy to reach out; and they may make it more difficult at first. However, once it's all out in the open real decision can then be made TOGETHER. Who know's what possibilities can be done when you work with people who love you. You may have the opportunity to be a great mom even, if you give it a chance.

((((HUGS))))

I don't have an answer for you, but I just wanted to let you know that most women who have abortions experience depression, guilt and a feelings of emptiness for many, many years. They needs lots of therapy. Trust me on this one.

You mentioned you were broke. Did you know that there are adoption agencies that will pay your living expenses for the full 9 months while you are pregnant? I've even heard some will get you a car so you can make it to appts. Please consider the loving option of adoption. You'll be a hero!

Here's a # to call:

(((((((HUGS))))))))) Please at least think about adoption. There are so many loving families out there. You could even do an open adoption, where you could see the child occasionally.

Here is a website that talks about herbal abortions

http://www.choicetolivewith.com/herbalabortion.html

However, these can be REALLY hard on the body & I would highly reccomend calling planned parenthood again & explaining your situation. A lot of times, they can put you in touch with groups that will help with or cover the cost. Good luck!

Although I do not approve of killing an innocent child over my mistake - I believe in adoption
The best choice is a clinic, any other way is too likely to end up with you injured. Try to get the other person to kick in some of the money

Please! DO NOT try a do-it-yourself
abortion!!! You will kill yourself and the
baby. Abortion must be done with a
qualified physician and sterile surroundings.
Everyone look--This is what happens when we put politics into sexual
