javaris crittenton should be some help but i dont see them making a bigger splash than last year unless they can stay away from injuries or pick up an above average veteran to help them out at the center position.

I hope (F)akers is right. If success is anything over 41 wins and making the playoffs, yes they should do that. I agree with those who say chemistry should improve not sure how much javaris will help this year. If Bynum develops Kwame is OK. If Odom stays healthy, if Fisher isn't to old to play significant minutes, if Kobe gets his head straightened out maybe they can win close to 50 and win their first round match-up. without some new blood they could not be expected to better than that.

The Lakers will be a playoff team as long as they have Kobe, however, they will not get very far in the playoffs without one or two more star players that can co-exist with Kobe and put together a team effort.

no way, unless they get garnett or o'neal. they have kobe, who is great but he's not the kind of player who makes everyone around him better. other than that, they don't have any other players who are more than mediocre (odom has shown nothing). history tells us that to even advance in the playoffs, you need multiple stars. you need more than one option to prevent the defense from winning by shutting one guy down. if kobe has an off night, or doesn't dominate, the lakers have a hard time beating anyone

yeah as long as kobe stays healthy and the lakers gets another good player to back him up, the team will do fine.

yes, i think first of they will stay healty.
also add in a better team chemistry from having played
together, they will do better.
not to mention new talent and bynam and farmar with one
more year of exprience.

I think Lakers are not that far from being good just need
some breaks.

Yes, because they have Kobe, and another year experience for the younger players.
