I'm trying to get rid of my outdated stamps by using them with 1 and 2 cent stamps. Is there a limit to the number of stamps placed on an envelope facing for the convenience of the mail carriers?

Note as long as you have the correct amount on there, and you leave the bottom half inch clear for the bar code to be put on when it goes through the sorting machine. And nothing to the left and below the address it is going to, the machines will not be able to pick up the address, they will try to read the stamp and end up going to your return address.
