When dealing with any ex you have to understand what made you 2 ex's in the first place. The only way to find out is to talk to each other and talk about the problems that broke you up. Listen to what he says that will be a indicator if he has changed but the problem usually is the person hasn't changed and your right back where you were before and then you get the same results. Your right there has to be more then sex even though sex is important in a relationship you can't base your whole relationship on it. Talking always helps but sometimes you have to read between the lines. If you feel in your heart that he hasn't changed then don't bother and just move on and find someone else.

You sound young based on your description of the "problem" --- it's love and sex. And you didn't elaborate you 2 were exes of what --- marriage or just bf/gr. You want to get back together for love, not for sex. There are a lot of other factors in a serious relationship, particularly marriage, that you still choose to ignore. These factors were likely behind the breakup anyway. As many couples find out soon after marriage, love alone can't hold a relationship together.

The old feelings may still be there but youve not mentioned resolving the problem that broke you two upin the first place, ad until thats done all you two will ever be is good friends with benefits. Not a good situation as you two will be right back apart real soon. Talk about the problem first then take it from there

The stereotype about men 'being unable to handle feelings' and 'being scared off' by such things is utter BS. Those men and women who will be scared at such things are those who are insecure with their own selves.

If this guy is scared off by your feelings, he's a coward. Don't ever be anybody but who you are, and always share your feelings and thoughts in full. Only a person who can accept you and everything you're about is worth your time.

Don't settle for anything less than the best.

your falling in to the tender trap, what has gone wrong with the two of you will happen again. i can see by your Q that you are after a loving relationship and if it's only about sex it will never work.you have to sit down and really think this one out, like
why did we break up before, and will it happen again,do i really love him,or is it just sexand loads things that you haven't told us .think before you act.it saves a lot of heart later on
good luck and i wish you well with whatever you descide
